From helping students connect to their local schools for online learning to sponsoring Esports teams to assisting with future studies, WRT proudly supports area students. The local cooperative is once again awarding $1,000 scholarships to area students, based on academic achievement, involvement in school and community activities, work experience, and future aspirations. The 2024 WRT $1,000 Scholarships were recently awarded to each of WRT’s seven districts, a student pursuing a technology- related degree, and to the dependent of a WRT employee.
In Grant and Sioux county there are six school districts, five school systems, with one agenda; to teach.
Jacobson Memorial Hospital Care Center (JMHCC) in Elgin will celebrate National Hospital Week with activities May 13-17, including discounted prices on certain lab tests.
